Our premium coverage partner, Fortress, offers eight health insurance plans for groups of two or more* and a range of additional insurance benefits, including dental, vision, short- and long-term disability, life, accidental death, and more.

*Available plans vary by group. Due to state regulations, certain plans may only be available to groups of five or more.

Frequently Asked Questions

What types of plans do you offer?

We offer fully funded, level funded, and guaranteed issued plans. Fortress plans are self-funded or level-funded, with 100% of any surplus staying with the employer, ensuring participating groups benefit fully.

Who serves as the plan sponsor?

Each church entity or nonprofit organization serves as the plan sponsor. 

Does the plan include a reference-based pricing feature?

For small groups, the primary option is reference-based pricing with a direct network, direct contracts, and a no-balance-bill guarantee.

Is there stop-loss coverage?

We use multiple A+ carriers for stop loss, including Zurich, Everest, Slico, and US Fire, and can provide copies of the policies upon request.

Does individual organization underwriting ever happen?

Yes, every time until a Group Captive Health Plan is established. The captive plan will only become available once a significant number of participants have joined the plan.

Is there any coverage that our organization would need to provide or be liable for beyond the cost of premiums?

Each product offers specific advance and aggregate options based on funding. The attachment point sets liability beyond premiums. If a small group faces a large reduction and hits the limit, we can add protections for at-risk groups.

Do you offer solutions for individuals?

Yes. We also offer solutions for individual health insurance and Medicare (65+).
